Kaduna Govt Reacts As Video Of Security Agents Parading Bandits Go Viral On The Internet

An attack on three villages in Zango Kataf and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna state on Monday led to the death of ten people.

This is coming after gunmen suspected to be bandits killed seven people in Igabi and Kajuru local government areas of the state.

According to the Commissioner for internal security and home affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, the bandits attacked Kurmin Gandu village in Zango Kataf local government and killed five people.

He further stated that the bandits burnt down ten houses, two motorcycles, and 50 bags of ginger, while some dry season farmers lost water pumping machines and other valuables around the Zango Urban general area.

The commissioner also disclosed that some survivors of the attack are recuperating in the hospital.

Security agencies noted that bandits also attacked Sabon Gayan and Ungwan Turai villages in Chikun local government area and killed five persons.

Following the attack, troops of Operation Thunder Strike reportedly swung into action, combing identified criminal hideouts in the Sabon Gayan Area.

In another development, students of the Government Science College Kagara, Niger State released last Saturday have revealed that bandits said the secret to their successful operations in the North-west was their collaboration with informants.

Suleiman Lawan speaking on behalf of the students, on Sunday during a brief ceremony to reunite them with their families, said the bandits claimed there was no way they could succeed in their attacks without the help.
