Son Reveals How Rotimi Akeredolu Died

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has vowed to bring Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki back to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akeredolu made the submission on Wednesday while giving the vote of thanks during his second term inauguration ceremony in Akure.

As earlier reported by Naija News, many dignitaries were present at the event including Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.

While thanking the dignitaries for coming, Akeredolu singled out Obaseki whom he said will ensure returns to the APC which he dumped for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the build-up to the 2020 governorship election in Edo after a fall out on the party’s ticket.

Naija News recalls Obaseki contested and won the 2020 governorship election in Edo on the platform of the PDP after the APC had disqualified him from contesting its primary election.

Meanwhile, the outgone Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has said his tenure with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was full of political intrigues.

Recall that Ajayi had fallen out with Akeredolu which led to the deputy governor leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC) and contesting and losing the governorship election on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

There was also a failed attempt to impeach Ajayi as nine lawmakers of the Ondo State House of Assembly refused to support the action of their colleagues, a move the Chief Judge of state did not also approve.

In a farewell message as he bows out on Wednesday, Agboola Ajayi thanked God for unfailing grace and the tenacity of the Ondo State Judiciary.

He stated that the Ondo State Judiciary was adhesive to the spirit and letter of the constitution.
