Gov Okowa’s Aide, Emu Allegedly Buys Apartment Worth N274m In Dubai

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa’s Chief Economic Adviser, Dr Kingsley Emu, reportedly owned an apartment worth two hundred and seventy-four million, five hundred thousand in Dubai.

Jackson Ude, a Nigerian strategic communication expert, investigative journalist, made the disclosure via his Twitter account on Monday, February 22.

Ude revealed that the apartment with number 32.63210-0 at the Marsa Dubai Plaza was secretly purchased in Emu’s name. However, the governorship aide denied ownership of the apartment when he (Ude) reached out to him for confirmation.

The investigative journalist, however, alleged that the document attached to the apartment has on it Emu’s Nigerian passport number, his home address in Nigeria, date of birth and the same cell number he uses.

Ude’s tweet reads: “Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s Chief Economic Adviser, Dr. Kingsley Emu, quietly bought himself a luxury Apartment at the Marsa Dubai Plaza worth $722,570.00 about N274.5million. The apartment number is listed as apartment 32.63 210-0.

When I contacted him, he denied ownership but the purchase document has his Nigerian passport number, his home address in Nigeria, his date of birth and the same cell number I contacted him on.”

Meanwhile. the lawmaker representing Imo West at the Senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has said that he broke into the Royal Spring Palm Estate, Owerri, to see who brought the police there.

Okorocha, while addressing his supporters at his Spibat mansion in Owerri, on Monday, said he contacted the state Commissioner of Police and the state Director of the Department of Security Services (DSS) before entering the estate, Naija News reports.
