Junaid Mohammed Reveals Those Behind ASUU Strike

The former lawmaker representing, Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani, on Friday, described the late Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed as a fearless fighter for justice.

Sani in his post on Twitter noted that the deceased was a dogged patriot and the conscience of the Kano people.

Naija News had earlier reported that his death was confirmed on Thursday evening by his brother, Dr Ahmed Salik, a former lecturer with the Bayero University Kano and also a former member of the House of Representatives.

It was gathered that Junaid died on Thursday evening at his residence in Kano after a protracted illness.

Sani in his reaction to the Junaid’s death wrote, “Dr Junaid Mohammed; the Conscience of the people of Kano, patriot, dogged and fearless fighter for justice and a man of principles and conviction. May Allah grant him Aljanna firdausi. Amin. Inna lillahi wainna Illayhir rajiun.Amin.”

Meanwhile, in another development, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has confirmed the death of its immediate past Comptroller General, Abdullahi Dikko.

The death was confirmed in a statement on Thursday night by the Customs Service Public Relations Officer, Mr Joseph Attah.

It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that the former Customs boss who hails from Katsina State, died in Abuja on Thursday at the age of 60 after a protracted sickness.
