President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that some Nigerians with wealthy resources and influence are behind the ethnic violence in some parts of the country.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Reconciliation and Strategy Committee led by former Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki.

Other members of the committee include one-time Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, and ex-governor of Cross River State Liyel Imoke as members.

EFCC Speaks On Corruption Allegation Against New Boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied claims that its chairman-designate, Abdulrasheed Bawa, was arrested and detained in 2019 for selling at least 244 trucks worth between N20-30 million each to his proxies at N100,000 per unit.

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday morning, nominated 40-year-old Bawa as the new Chairman of the EFCC.

Jonathan’s Former Chief of Army Staff Ihejirika Joins APC

Former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant-General Azubuike Ihejirika has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that Ihejirika, who was the Chief of Army Staff between 2010 – 2014 under former President Goodluck Jonathan, joined the APC at Isuikwuato country home in Abia-North Senatorial District.

Again, Petrol Price Increased

Filling stations in Lagos and Ogun States have increased the pump price of petrol to N170 per litre on Tuesday from N162 per litre.

It was gathered that this is a result of the supply shortage facing private depots in Apapa.
