BREAKING: Fani-Kayode Has Returned To APC – Yahaya Bello (Video)

PDP Sends Strong Warning To APC Over Fani-Kayode, Others

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has disclosed that former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bello disclosed this while speaking to journalists after revalidating his APC membership in the Okene area of the State on Wednesday.

Bello said the former minister rejoined the party in good faith, six years after he left for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor noted that Fani-Kayode is rejoining the APC to add his positive energy to the party and to contribute to the success and growth of the party ahead of the 2023 elections.

Bello disclosed that the former minister is a founding member of the party, adding that the party leadership has accepted his return to the party.

Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined our party in good faith. He is joining our party to come and add his own positive energy and make contribution into ensuring that APC is a party to beat.

“Remember that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was a foundation member of this great party. Due to misunderstanding, he decided to port elsewhere, now he has decided to join our party, approached me, and by the mandate given to me by the party, I must not segregate or discriminate against any individual,” he said.

Recall that Fani-Kayode was rumored to be rejoining the APC, after meeting with Chairman, Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, and Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello at a Guest House in Abuja on Sunday.

The closed-door meeting, which lasted for about an hour, was brokered by Bello, who is said to be planning to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

Fani-Kayode had earlier met with Bello in his Wuse Zone 6 residence in Abuja before he led the former minister to the party Chairman’s Guest House.

The PCP chieftain had also met with the APC Senator representing Kogi West in the Senate, Smart Adeyemi, a day before.

Some members of APC had also expressed their opinions about the prospect of Fani-Kayode’s return to their party.

Defending his meeting with the APC leaders, Fani-Kayode had in a statement posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, said the meeting was about the affairs of the nation.
