70-Year-Old HIV Positive Man Who Raped 5-Year-Old Girl In Benue Revealed

Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended the man who raped a 5-year-old girl in the state a few days ago.

Naija News had reported earlier that a minor was defiled by a 50-year-old man in Benue State.

Mr Ukan Kurugh, an activist in the state who first reported the incident on social media, had revealed that the old aged man who is confirmed to be HIV positive was caught defiling the little girl in Naka, a community in the Gwer West Local Government Area of the state.

Subsequent reports, however, confirmed that the suspect, Akeh Nicodemus, is 70 years of age and has been arrested and locked up at the Police Headquarters in Makurdi.

Giving further details of how the suspect committed the crime, Kurugh said Akeh lured the innocent girl to his apartment and gave her Garri to drink before having his way with her.

Ukan’s update on the incident reads: “70YR OLD MAN WHO DEFILED 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL FINALLY ARRIVED STATE HQ OF THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE, MAKURDI FROM GWER WEST LGA.

“Mr Akeh Nicodemus lured the 5-year-old girl into his house in Naka, Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue state and raped her.

“According to his confession before the police, he called her and gave her garri to drink, then perfected his evil act on the innocent girl. When the girl’s parents came looking for her in the neighbourhood, he hid her in his bathroom. The little girl later opened up to her parents when they noticed that she was bleeding and asked some questions.”

“The man confessed to have been living with HIV for 20yrs and since his wife left him, his only option was to get young girls to satisfy his sexual urge.

“I also spoke to the mother on why she did not want a case, and even went to the police station to have the man released, but she said they are both from the same place and her husband (blind) asked her to drop the case before village elders will lay a curse on them or ban them from the village if anything happens to the old man. Her husband said that they should rather settle amicably out of the police station.

“The man has been detained while further investigation is ongoing and will be charged to court within the week.

The activist lauded the DPO of Naka and Mrs Ameh of the Family, unit of the State Command for responding swiftly to the case.

Meanwhile, Chukwuemeka Obijofa, a self-proclaimed evangelist, has revealed why he killed his wife and child, Naija News reports.
