Convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, has asked the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to join him in the ‘fight’ against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sowore, who is also the Publisher of SaharaReporters and a former presidential candidate, is currently on trial over allegations of treason and an attempt to overthrow a legitimately elected government.

In a post on Saturday replying to a tweet by the IPOB leader, the ex-presidential candidate stated that the criminal acts of the Buhari administration should no longer be condoned.

Nnamdi Kanu had in a post earlier kicked against the trial of Sowore and the condemnation of popular Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho.

He wrote: “In 1983, Buhari led a bloody REVOLUTION against an elected government. He actually committed TREASON but, with time, Nigerians pardoned him. It’s shameful that the same Nigerians now condone the persecution of Sowore for #RevolutionNow & Igboho for stopping TERRORISTS.”

Reacting to the pro-Biafra activist tweet, Sowore wrote: “Dear Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, We will not condone these criminal acts from Buhari and his goons any longer, we must unite and put an end to all forms of repression henceforth!”
