Teenager In Police Net For Beating School Principal To Coma

An unnamed 19-year-old student of the Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife, Osun State is currently in police custody for beating his principal to coma within the school premises.

It was gathered the teenager and his gang members beat up their school principal, Mr. Ademola Sanusi for reasons yet to be established.

It was however learnt that the students beat the principal to the point that he went into a coma.

The incident has been condemned in its totality by the Osun State Commissioner for Education, Folorunso Oladoyin who noted that the action of the students is not justifiable for whatever reason.

The Commissioner noted that the 19-year-old and all other members of his gang will not go unpunished, adding that such actions violate the decency and discipline been preached by the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the state.

Oladoyin urged all students in the state both in private and secondary schools to desist from acts of hooliganism, but rather focus on building their future through a firm educational foundation.

He also appealed to parents to keep watch over their children and wards at all times while noting the kind of company they keep.

Meanwhile, the teenager is to remain in police custody pending the conclusion of investigations into the incident.

In other news, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed boxing legend, Muhammad Ali as a hero he loves so much.

The revered clergyman, however, revealed that something happened to Ali that made him cry.

Adeboye who revealed his love for boxing, noted that he had been following the life and career of Ali the boxing legend since the fight against Sonny Liston.

Speaking at the virtual February 2021 Holy Ghost Service of the church with the theme: ‘God Bless You (2)’, Adeboye said Ali is the undisputed champion of boxing but like every human champion, they all fade away.

The pastor revealed that when he noticed that the health status of Ali had failed, it made him weep, noting that God is the only champion that can’t fade.
