Don’t Spare Boko Haram – Gen Yahaya Charges Troops After Elimination Of 50 Terrorists

The Theater Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Faruk Yahaya, on Friday urged Nigerian troops to continue their offensive attack against Boko Haram.

Yahaya made this call after the elimination of the sect’s commanders and fighters.

It was disclosed that since the commencement of Operation Tura Takai Bango in January, more than 50 terrorists have been killed.

The TC was received and briefed by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Major General Abdul Khalifa Ibrahim.

Ibrahim assured that troops were in high spirits to sustain the war against insurgency.

Yahaya also visited the Shehu of Bama, Umar Kyari Umar El-Kanemi in appreciation of his support and cooperation of the emirate.

In a related development, two senior Boko Haram commanders have escaped while other ranking militants were killed after Nigerian troops overran their camps in an area straddling Yobe and Borno states.

Two military sources told Nigeria News on Thursday that soldiers aided by fighter jets overran Dole camp in the so-called “Timbuktu triangle”, on Wednesday.
