Many days after the death of Larry King, a former CNN anchor, his estranged wife, Shawn Southwick has cleared the air on the cause of the legend’s death.

The deceased had in late December 2020, tested positive for the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19) and was hospitalized. He, however, seized breathe at the age of 87.

Addressing controversies over the cause of the death of the United State talk show legend, Southwick said her husband died of Sepsis and not COVID-19 disease as claimed in some quarters.

]She said: “It was an infection, it was sepsis that killed King.

“His sweet little body was just been hit so many times with so many things and once we heard the word Coronavirus , all of our hearts just sank.”

“But he beat it, but it did take its toll and then the unrelated infection finally is what took him, but Larry was not going to go down easily,” she said.

The mother of two disclosed she spoke with Larry on a video call just some few hours to his death. According to her, Larry’s last message to her was, ‘I love you, take care of the boys’.”

Naija News understands that Shawn got married to King in 1997, and was his seventh wife.

Meanwhile, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has warned television and radio stations against broadcasting the Fulani herdsmen quit notice, Naija News reports.
