According to SaharaReporters, the students were attacked by the bandits while returning from the burial of their former Students’ Union Government President, Samuel Adesomoju, popularly known as Sampraise, which took place at his hometown of Okitipupa town.

Information gathered revealed that the bandits abducted two travellers, a man and a woman, however, the students’ convoy was able to fight their way through.

Sampraise lost his life last week Saturday when a Dangote truck developed faulty brakes and swerved off the road, ramming into some shops directly opposite the university.
