Federal High Court Judge, Justice Watila Is Dead

A Justice of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Watila, of the Abeokuta Division, has died after a brief illness.

Naija News reports that his death was announced by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho.

Justice Tsoho who was born on the 12th of May 1963, died on 24th January, 2021.

Tsoho described the deceased as a courageous judge, whose exit will be felt by the court and the country.

He prayed that God would grant his immediate family, relatives and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.

Watila was appointed to the Federal High Court Bench on December 2, 2015.

Wake-keep service will hold on at his Watila’s residence in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Valedictory Court Session is slated for Thursday at the Ukeje Hall, Federal High Court Headquarters, Abuja.

Watila’s remains will be interred on Saturday at Marama, Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.
