Members of the National Assembly will not be resuming on January 26, 2021, as earlier scheduled.

In a statement on Saturday by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Arc. Ojo Amos, the lawmakers will now resume on Tuesday, February 9, 2020.

Oyo: Inspector-General Of Police Orders Arrest Of Sunday Igboho

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered the arrest of Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho over the quit order issued to Fulani herdsmen in Oyo State.

The Cable reports the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu BuhariMallam Garba Shehu was quoted by BBC Hausa on Friday to have confirmed the arrest order.

Supreme Court Declines Family’s Request To Unfreeze Abacha’s Foreign Accounts

The Supreme Court has again declined the request by the family of the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, to unfreeze their foreign accounts.

The appeal filed by Ali Abacha, brother of the late head of state, was dismissed by a five-man panel of justices led by Sylvester Ngwuta. The panel held that the suit lacks merit.

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, has been advised by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to resign honourably rather than arrest Sunday Igboho.

The IPOB leader stated this while reacting to the call for the arrest of the Yoruba activist who ordered Fulani herdsmen to vacate a village in Oyo State.
