Finally, Presidency Reveals Why Pigeons Buhari Released Refused To Fly

The leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari after pigeons he released refused to fly.

In a post on his Twitter page, Nnamdi Kanu described the President Buhariadministration as a failure.

Kanu in a tweet wrote: “This is to tell you that Nigeria is a failed country and Jubril called Buhari by the cabals is a failure too. Biafra is the only way.”

Naija News reports that it is customary for the president to releases some white pigeons from a cage and immediately they fly away as a sign of peace.

But the birds refused flying on Friday when they were released with most of them sticking to the cage.

Buhari had picked one of the pigeons and threw it into the air but it fled back into the cage immediately.

Many Nigerians, who took to social media to comment on the incident, attributed the birds’ behaviour to the absence of peace and unity in the country.

Some Nigerians also described the failure of the birds to fly as a bad omen.
