COVID-19: Again, FG Speaks On Declaring Nationwide Lockdown

The Federal Government of Nigeria has dismissed news circulating on social media that it was planning to impose fresh lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), also Chairman, Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, made the clarification in a statement signed by Mr. Willie Bassey, Director Information in his office.

Boko Haram Terrorist Launches Fresh Attack In Yobe

Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram terrorist group have attacked Garin Gada, a village about 12 km from Geidam town, Yobe State.

According to reports from Yunusri LGA, the insurgents killed two people and looted shops and homes of the villagers.

Kogi: Appeal Court Rules On Yahaya Bello Election Victory

The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has struck out the appeal brought before it by Michael Elokun and two others challenging the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

Recall that Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had, in 2018, dismissed the suit on the grounds that the plaintiffs, Mr Michael ElokunMrs Hawa Audi and Mr Ibrahim Sule had no business instituting the case.
