My Visit To Wamakko Not Political – Bafarawa

A former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa, says his recent visit to Senator Aliyu Wamakko had no political undertone.

Bafarawa made this known in a statement by his media consultant, Yusuf Dingyadi, on Wednesday.

The former governor noted that he still committed to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and has nothing to do with the All Progressives Congress (APC) or its activities

He noted that the visit to the former governor and leader of the APC in Sokoto was purely for condolence, adding that Wamakko had also visited him for condolence.

He said: “My visit to the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto has no political undertone whatsoever as I remain loyal to my party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I remain loyal to my government under Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and committed to the PDP and have nothing to do with APC or its activities.

“Those publishing stories or lies about the condolence visit are nothing but mischief-makers, seeking cheap attention for their news outfits.

“This is not the first time that I am visiting to condole with Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko during such trying times.

“Our political differences, no matter how they go, can’t affect mutual relationship and sympathy for each other, especially when one is faced with such challenges.”
