VIDEO: Trump Bids Farewell To Americans, Lists Achievements In Final Speech

United States President, Donald Trump, has urged Americans to avoid violence in his first comments after being impeached Wednesday.

Naija News reports that the embattled US president avoided speaking on his second impeachment by the House of Representatives.

In his speech read from a teleprompter, Trump said he was “calling on all Americans to overcome the passions of the moment and join together as one American people. Let us choose to move forward united for the good of our families.”

He slammed his supporters for attacking Capitol Hill a week ago, vowing to clampdown and prosecute them for the act.

Trump said “there is never a justification for violence. No excuses, no exceptions: America is a nation of laws.”

“Those who engaged in the attacks last week will be brought to justice,” he said.

This Newspaper reports that a majority of elected lawmakers from the House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to formally impeach Trump for inciting violence on Capitol Hill, paving the way for a historic second trial of the President of the United States.

The House voted 232 to 197 to impeach him — with the support of 10 Republicans.
