Tottenham are to make a six-figure donation to charity after fining the three players who broke COVID-19 guidelines.

Spurs launched an internal probe after Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, and Erik Lamela were photographed, with their respective families, at a party during the festive period.

Having completed their inquiries the club have fined the trio for the misdemeanor. The maximum clubs can financially penalise players is generally two weeks, though how much Spurs have fined the players is unclear.

And Sportsmail can reveal the money raised by the disciplinary matter will go to good causes. The trio earns in the region of £200,000-per-week between them, meaning Spurs will be making a substantial donation.

Tottenham have played a lead role within their community during the pandemic, we exclusively revealed last week that they have made their 62,000 capacity stadium available to the NHS for the rolling out of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, Spurs hope to discover on Monday whether their fixture against Aston Villa on Wednesday can go ahead amid the Covid outbreak that has ravaged Dean Smith’s squad.

It is understood Villa would prefer and expect the visit of Jose Mourinho’s side to be re-scheduled.

Villa’s training ground has been closed since Thursday, as result players haven’t been able to train as normal.
