Gunmen Kill Three Policemen In Delta

Unidentified gunmen have killed three mobile policemen in Ughelli, Ughelli North local government area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the incident happened at a fast-food spot located along the East-West road on Sunday night, June 10, 2021.

According to a report, the hoodlums caught the slain policemen unawares, shot them at close range, and made away with their rifles.

The attack is coming a few days after a new Divisional Police Officer, Benjamin Igometi, assumed office at the Ughelli ‘A’ division with a charge on him to curb the rising spate of insecurity in the area.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Onome Onowakpoyeya, was yet to confirm the incident at the time of filing this report.
