President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden has called on out-going President Donald Trump to address the lawlessness caused by his supporters.

Biden in his message to Trump on Wednesday noted that what happened when some of Trump’s supporters clashed with police officers and broke into the Capitol building. forcing a lockdown of the building doesn’t represent the American people or nation.

He, therefore, in reaction to the violence which broke out at the Capitol building in Washington DC, called on President Trump to go on national television and call his supporters to order.

It will be recalled as previously reported by Naija News that a curfew was declared on Washington DC, capital of the United States of America by the mayor of the city Muriel Bowser on Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter in reaction to the development, Biden wrote: “Let me be very clear: the scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not represent who we are. What we are seeing is a small number of extremists dedicated to lawlessness. This is not dissent, it’s disorder. It borders on sedition, and it must end. Now.”

“I call on President Trump to go on national television now to fulfill his oath and defend the Constitution by demanding an end to this siege.”

“America is so much better than what we’re seeing today.”

“Our way is plain: It is the way of democracy — of lawfulness, and of respect — respect for each other, and for our nation.”

Meanwhile, the leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has said that United States President, Donald Trump’s defeat was because God has rejected him.

According to the Nigerian clergy in a statement issued amid the political saga in the US, God rejected Trump because he wanted to “cause destruction to the world”.

It will be recalled Trump had lost the November 3 presidential election in America to Joe Biden but had rejected the results and insisted the election was rigged.
