A former Nigerian senator who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has made some observations as Nigeria’s government order COVID-19 vaccines from different nations.
The politician in a post on his Twitter account on Wednesday, January 6 said he wonder if Nigerians will still look African after receiving the combination of the vaccines expected from about three developed nations.
He wrote: “We are ordering vaccines from Russia, China and the US; I hope after these combinations, our faces and hairs will still look African.”

Naija News understands that Sani’s observation is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari led government announced that it has commenced talks with China to have access to COVID-19 vaccines for Nigeria.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama who disclosed the development on Tuesday after a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi said China had assisted Nigeria immensely when the virus first broke out in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have been urged to accept the COVID-19 vaccine when it reaches to them in other not to make efforts put in place to become a failure.
The call was made in a statement by the Chief Medical Director, Federal Teaching Hospital ( FETHI), Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Professor Adekunle Ajayi, Naija News reports.
