President Buhari’s Minister Recovers From COVID-19

Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, has recovered from the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News had reported that Tallen tested positive for COVID-19 after a routine test conducted on her and members of the family.

In a statement on December 27, 2020, Tallen said she was asymptomatic but was advised to go for the test which returned positive.

The minister said she has gone into isolation and is receiving treatment, adding that members of her family were negative.

But in a statement on Monday, June 4, 2021, Tallen said has tested negative for COVID-19 on New Year Eve, after being treated for the disease.

The minister thanked Nigerian women and the entire nation for the prayers “and unshakeable dedication to the plight of those declared positive of the Coronavirus Disease.

Tallen rejoiced that she was part of the 2021 celebrations, and stressed the need for all to take responsibility for themselves and their families, to keep everyone safe.

She expressed commitment to promoting the speedy and healthy development of Nigerian women toward national development, as well as promoting the rights of the vulnerable in society.

The minister prayed for a prosperous year full of exploits in the areas of innovations that would set the nation on a positive course and growth.

She, however, advised Nigerians and the public to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines to be safe.
