Son Reveals How Rotimi Akeredolu Died

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has lost his Chief Protocol officer in a fatal road accident.

Naija News reports that Akeredolu’s aide, Tosin Ogunbodede, lost his life in an accident that occurred on Saturday night along Ilesha highway.

Ogunbodeded and his driver were rushed to the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa where they were said to have been confirmed died.

Another occupant of the car whose identity is not available to the media is said to be in a critical condition.

Ogunbodede, a lawyer and former staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, was appointed as Chief of Protocol, COP, by Ondo Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on assumption of office in 2017.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 576 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.

The latest figures by the NCDC brings Nigeria’s total confirmed COVID-19 cases to 89,163.

The nation has also recorded 74,789 discharged cases and 1,302 deaths.
