Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 1,074 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday evening, 1st January 2021, confirmed 1,074 new cases of Coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.

The new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 88,587 which includes 74,373 discharged cases and 1,294 deaths.

Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Lagos State having the highest number of cases followed by Kaduna State.

Meanwhile, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B Joshua, has revealed prophetic messages for the year 2021 concerning the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naija News reports that the prophet released the message while addressing his followers virtually in the New Year.

While describing COVID-19 as an ‘affliction’, T.B Joshua revealed that the pandemic has three stages.

He stated that the second and third stages of the pandemic will be tougher than the first stage which the world is currently recovering from.
