Cross Over Service: Reno Omokri Reveals New Year Day In God’s Calendar

Former presidential aide and book writer, Reno Omokri, has revealed when New Year day is celebrated in the calendar created by God himself.

Customarily, new year day is celebrated across the globe on every January 1, Naija News understands.

However, reacting to controversies on whether to hold or not hold cross over services in Nigeria Churches due to the recent increase in case of COVID-19, Omokri said Jesus Christ himself never held crossover services during his days.

He noted that the New Year was marked on Rosh Hashnah, which is 1 Tishrei as contained in the ‘calendar created by God himself’, against 1 January as contained in the Gregorian calendar introduced by Pope Gregory in the year 1582.

Omokri tweeted: “The Gregorian Calendar we use today, was introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory. Christ never held crossover services. In His day, the New Year was marked on Rosh Hashanah, which is

Meanwhile, the Osun State Government has disclosed why it rescinded its earlier decision banning churches from holding crossover services.

Naija News reports that the state government had banned churches from holding crossover services in the state due to the spike in the cases of COVID-19.
