A boy, Amos, and four others were killed in a clash between two cult groups in Lobia II village in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of ​​Bayelsa State.

According to eyewitnesses, the cult groups who came from Ukubie and Azuzuama neighbourhoods and clashed on Sunday during the commemoration of the late Chief Genesis in Lobia ll but the cause of the conflict has not yet been determined.

Local eyewitnesses revealed that a young boy who was identified as Amos from Lobia I area and three other Ukubie residents along with one from Azuzuama area were shot on Sunday night and immediately lost their lives.

When contacted, State Police Spokesperson SP Asinim Butswat said that he could not immediately confirm the incident, adding that he was trying to contact the DPO of the area where the incident took place so as to get a comprehensive detail of the incidence.
