Niger Assembly Sacks Majority Leader, Deputy

Niger State legislators has impeached its Majority Leader, Abba Bala Mohammed over alleged neglect of official duty.

Naija News understands that members of the State House of Assembly removed the leader and his deputy, Binta Mamman.

The legislators accused the duo of shunning plenary during an important matter of the presentation of the Report of the 2021 budget estimate.

However, Mamman was said to have been pardoned by the assembly after findings revealed she was in isolation recovering from COVID-19.

Naija News understands that Mohammed’s impeachment motion was moved by the member representing Bida 1, Hon. Bako Kasim Alfa and seconded by Hon. Mohammed Lokogoma, representing Wushishi constituency.
