Ex-President Jonathan Explains Why There Is Corruption In Civil Service

Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has admonished Nigerians to express love to one another as they celebrate the birth of Christ this year.

The former leader in a statement delivered in Abuja on Thursday, December 24 through his Special Adviser, Mr Ikechukwu Eze, urged citizens to rededicate themselves to friendship, kindness and compassion as they celebrate 2020 Christmas.

Jonathan explained that Christmas is a “commemoration that connects the world to love, selflessness, sacrifice and solidarity; which are the virtues that Christ unambiguously propagated.

“Jesus’ message of salvation speaks to the essence of both spiritual deliverance and earthly redemption,” he added.

According to him, “Christmas is a constant reminder that humanity will have a more peaceful existence if people of the world rededicate themselves to friendship, kindness and compassion.

“During Christmas, the world needs love, this is the spirit we have to imbibe to heal all that is broken in our world,” the statement added.

The former leader in his conclusion wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas, Naija News reports.

In another news, Naija News reports that President Muhammadu Buhari government has set up a committee to address hunger and malnutrition in Nigeria.
