Reports emerging at this time claim that the Federal Government has begun payment of University lecturers’ withheld salaries, hence, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU will suspend the lingering strike.

A lecturer with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University whose name is withheld disclosed that the 10 months old action will be suspended conditionally.

Naija News recalls that Nigeria’s Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, stated on Monday that academic activities in the country universities will resume January 2021.
