The Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina has submitted that nobody can put a timeline on issues of insecurity in Nigeria.

The presidential media aide made the submission on Sunday when he spoke about the efforts by the federal government in tackling issues of insecurity in Nigeria.

2. COVID-19: Ban Flights Between Nigeria And UK Now – Atiku Tells FG

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has urged the federal government to immediately ban flights between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Atiku noted in a statement on Sunday that the action has become necessary in view of the health hazards that may result if the new coronavirus strain reported in the UK is imported into Nigeria.

3. Police Commission Sack Four Senior Officers For Misconduct

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the dismissal of four senior Police Officers for misconduct and acts unbecoming of public officers.

The Kaduna State Government has imposed new restrictions on churches and mosques following increased cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

5. Police Rescue 80 Islamic students Abducted By Bandits In Katsina

Police have rescued 80 students of Islamiyya schools and four others abducted by gunmen on Saturday night in Mahuta town, Dandume LGA, Katsina state.

6. Ngige Names Buhari, Tinubu, Others That Will Decide APC Zoning

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, has revealed that the founding fathers of the party will decide on the zoning of its 2023 presidential ticket in 2021.

9. President Buhari’s Nominee For ICC Justice Ishaq Bello Rejected

President Muhammadu Buhari’s nominee for a spot among judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC), Ishaq Usman Bello, has failed to get elected.

Naija News reports that Bello, chief judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court, polled 12 votes–the second-lowest–only after Milandou Prosper, a nominee from The Republic of Congo, out of 117 in the first round of the election.

In the second round, Bello garnered only 5 votes out of 110 votes.

10. NIPSS DG Habu Galadima Is Dead

The Director-General of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru in Plateau state, Prof. Habu Galadima, has died.
