The Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says the Nigerian Airforce (ATF) operation in Lafia Dole has resulted in the killing of several Boko Haram terrorists and the destruction of their gun trucks.

The military said it foiled an attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Ajiri, Mafa Local Government Area, Borno State.

The spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Major General John Enenche, made this known in a statement issued on Monday in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.

In addition, the DHQ posted a video of the attack on the terrorists on its Twitter page.

Major General Enenche said the troops launched the airstrike after receiving information that the terrorists had stormed the town in their armoured vehicles, and had attempted to breach the town.s

He said the Nigerian Air Force helicopter gunships were quickly launched to deal with the terrorists.

According to him, the airstrikes were effective, which resulted in the defeat of the terrorists and the destruction of their armoured vehicles.
