It is one of the 15 pilots trained in South Africa among those recruited under the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) as pilots who can fly anywhere in the world.

Ruqayya’s father expressed his happiness that his young daughter had set a great precedent, especially as culture was turning its back on women especially on the subject of post-secondary education.
