The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Thursday announced that Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems, have arrived in Nigeria.
Dabiri-Erewa made this known in a post on Twitter on Thursday.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa tweeted, “Stanley Omah Didia (@Omah_Lay), Temilade Openiyi (@temsbaby), Muyiwa Ayoniyi and others just landed at the MMIA Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time. We are glad they are finally home. All is well that ends well. Gratitude to [email protected], our mission in Uganda and the @GovUganda for a quick resolution.”
The detention of the two Nigerian nationals in Uganda stirred a barrage of reactions on social media, as their colleagues in the music industry and others called for their release; condemning the Ugandan police and its government for politicising their arrest.
