Members of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) are already in Katsina State to protest government’s failure to rescue hundreds of  Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.

They are expected to start protest today at the state Capital, Katsina with the hashtag #BringBackOurBoys. The protesters will thereafter head to Daura to express their concerns to President Muhammadu Buhari, who is still in town.

Recall that the CNG security meeting held on Monday in Kaduna was disrupted by some miscreants.

CNG spokesman Abdul-Azeez Suleiman said the attacks would not stop them, and that they would meet with others to continue calling for the release of the Kankara children, quickly, alive and in good health.

Suleiman said the CNG was aware of the mobilization of police officers in Katsina State and called on the officers not to try to stop their legitimate protests, which would be peaceful.

“It will be unreasonable to expect any northerner and well-meaning Nigerian to fold their arms and watch the north, a significant component of the country, abandoned to the mercy of bandits, murderers and kidnappers,”
