Nigerian Army Arrests Bandits And Their Accomplices In Zamfara

The Nigeria Defense Headquarter (DHQ) says its forces in Operation Hadarin Daji have arrested seven robbers and five of their accomplices in Zamfara State.

The head of DHQ media unit, Major General John Enenche, made the announcement on Tuesday, saying the arrests took place on Monday.

The statement said troops arrested a man trying to transport the robbers 20 new motorcycles contained in a J5 car.

The driver and his contractor were moving the motorcycles somewhere in Jibia Local Government Area of ​​Katsina State.

Weapons were also confiscated during the operation in Magizawa, Kani, Zango, Tabanni and Nasamu villages in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

He said the operation was carried out after intelligence information was obtained about the bandits’ location, which resulted in the successful killing of several of them and the escape of others with injuries.

Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari has said that students abducted by gunmen from GSSS Kankara boarding school have been found dead in the bush in Zamfara State.

He added that 17 more of the 333 he said were missing after gunmen attacked Kankara town last Friday night.
