1. President Buhari Holds Closed-Door Meeting With All State Governors

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting with the 36 state governors of the federation.

The meeting held at the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja.

2. APC Expels Former National Vice Chairman, Hilliard Eta

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its former National Vice Chairman, South-south, and ex-acting factional Chairman Hilliard Eta.

The decision was part of resolutions taken during the NEC meeting which held at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.

3. FG Replies US Govt After It Placed Nigeria On Blacklist For Religious Freedom Violation

The federal government of Nigeria has accused the US government of dishonesty after it placed the country on its religious freedom blacklist.

Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed was quoted on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Segun Adeyemi to have denied any form of religious persecution by the government and queried the move by the American government.

4. APC Dissolves State, Zonal, National Structures

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday dissolved all wards, states, zonal, and national party structures.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State announced this while speaking to State House reporters after the NEC meeting alongside Governors Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), and Secretary of the CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe.

5. Amnesty International Claims Boko Haram, Military Killing Aged People In Nigeria

International human rights organization, Amnesty International has released a fresh report in which it claimed that Boko Haram terrorists and the Nigerian Military are killing a lot of old people in the North East.

The report explained that the aged people are either too weak to run during the attacks or have become emotionally attached to their communities and unwilling to relocate despite frequent attacks.

6. APC Extends Tenure Of Buni-led Caretaker Committee

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday extended the tenure of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led caretaker committee of the party by six months.

The decision was taken by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party at a party held at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.

7. My Guardian Angel Won’t Forgive Me If I Reconcile With Obasanjo – Gani Adams

The Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, on Tuesday, noted that he does not have any reason to reconcile with former Nigeria President, Olusegun Obasanjo.

He further stated that his guarding angel will not forgive him if he reconciles with the former president.

8. APC NEC Grants Waiver To New Members To Contest 2023 Elections

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday approved the granting of waivers to new members to contest party primaries ahead of the 2023 elections.

Naija News reports that without waivers new party members would have to wait for two years to be able to contest party primaries.

9. FG Reduces Petrol Price To N162.44

The Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol from N168 per litre to N162.44 per litre.

Naija News reports that the new petrol price would take effect from December 14, 2020.

10. Federal Government To Reopen Borders Soon – Buhari

Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, had a closed-door meeting with governors from the 36 state on the security challenges across the country.

Buhari noted that the land borders of the country were closed to control the smuggling of weapons and drugs.
