Kidnappers Abduct Taraba House Of Assembly Member, Bashir Mohammed

Suspected kidnappers have abducted a lawmaker representing Nguroje Constituency in the Taraba House of Assembly, Bashir Mohammed.

According to a family source, the lawmaker was abducted at his residence at about 1am, on Wednesday.

Mohammed is the Chairman of the House Committee on Information in the Taraba House of Assembly.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday had promised during a meeting the 36 state governors in Abuja that he would unleash the military on kidnappers.

The president noted that he would ensure that the military eliminates kidnappers and bandits across the country.

Buhari said, “We are thinking very hard on the issue of kidnapping.”

“We will make it possible for the military to get to the bandits and kidnappers and eliminate them,” Buhari had said.
