Former Germany international midfielder, Mesut Ozil will leave Arsenal in January, fresh reports have confirmed.

Ozil who has been totally frozen out of the Arsenal team under new manager Mikel Arteta will be joining Fenerbache in the January transfer window according to a top official of the Turkish club.

Ozil, who was a headline transfer from Real Madrid to Arsenal under Arsene Wenger has fallen out of favour at the Emirates and has been completely excluded from both the Gunners’ Premier League and Europa League squads.

However, Fenerbahce congress member, Murat Zorlu, is “90 per cent sure” Ozil will join the Turkish club when the January transfer window opens.

Zorlu told Sport Digitale : “A source, who’s very well connected to the club has told me that Mesut Ozil is likely to become a Fenerbahce player during the next transfer window.

“I would say 90% he will join us in one month.”
