The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has sent a condolence message to Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, over the death of his party’s chairman, Phillip Shekwo.

Recall that Shekwo was kidnapped in his house and his body was later found in the bush on November 22.

The former Governor of Lagos State in his reaction described the death of the APC Chairman as callous and wicked.

Tinubu who released a statement through his Media Aide, Tunde Rahman wrote, “By this letter, I convey to you my deepest condolences over the killing of the Chairman of Nasarawa State chapter of our party, the All Progressives Congress, Mr Phillip Shekwo.”

“Shekwo’s killing was a callous, wicked and dastardly act. He did not deserve to die the way he did. Indeed, no one deserves to be so killed in such a gruesome manner.”

“I commiserate with you and the government of Nasarawa State. I hope and pray that security agents will get to the bottom of this horrid killing and bring the perpetrators to book.”

“My hearts also go out to the family of the deceased, the immediate-past governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura, and the teeming APC members in the state.”

“I pray that Almighty Allah comforts them all. In particular, I pray that Allah stands by the wife and children, and indeed by all those left behind by the deceased.”

“May the soul of Mr Shekwo rest in the bosom of the Lord.”

Meanwhile, the Council of Ulamas in Kano State has denied endorsing Tinubu for the 2023 presidential election.

The Kano State Council Chairman, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, on Sunday clarified that no such endorsement has taken place.
