Presidential Tribunal: INEC Closes Case Against Peter Obi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, on Monday, disclosed that it has found its missing ad hoc staff in Zamfara State.

Recall that the electoral body on December 5, declared it staff missing during the Bakura State Constituency by-election in Zamfara State.

The development was confirmed by INEC Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Nick Dazang.

Dazang while speaking on the incident noted that the ad hoc staff ran for his life during a commotion and in the process could not retrace their ways back.

“I am exceedingly glad to report that INEC Administrative Secretary in Zamfara State, Mr Garba Lawal just informed me that our ad hoc staff who went missing have been found, hale and hearty.”

He also commended the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), and security agencies for their efforts in finding the missing ad hoc staff.

In a related development, the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday noted that it has rescued three out of its four officers abducted by kidnappers in Aba Tuntun, Ijebu North Local Government Area.

The spokesperson of the command, Oyeyemi, added that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the case and are providing important information to the police.
