The former Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Monday warned protesters against a second wave #EndSARS protest in Nigeria.
Protesters on Monday stormed streets in Osun, Oyo, Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory to demand for good governance.
Recall that policemen and soldiers were deployed to Lekki toll gate to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
Fani-Kayode in his reaction warned protesters to be very careful.
The former Minister noted that security operatives this time will be ruthless and not hesitate to take lives.
He said, “Those that wish to come out to protest for #endSARs again need to be circumspect & VERY careful.”
“I have it on good authority that this time around the security agencies will be merciless, ruthless and totally unrestrained. They will not hesitate to take life. I advise caution.”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has threatened to shut down any form of protest in the state, and warned youths not to engage in the fresh planned protest against Police brutality.
The warning was handed down on Sunday in a statement by the spokesman of the Command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who noted that the state can’t accommodate any form of protests as it is yet to heal from the effects of the last #EndSARS protest.
