Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo will address the nation next Sunday, ahead of Monday’s presidential election.

According to MyJoyOnline, the president will speak at 8:00 a.m. Ghana time which is 9:00 a.m. Nigeria-Niger time.

The Ghana Electoral Commission will also brief the media on its plans ahead of tomorrow’s election.

Special agents have cast their ballots since Tuesday, with 109,577 registered voters expected to cast their ballots. Police, journalists and ambulance drivers were among those who cast their ballots.

Naija News reported earlier that voters in Ghana will be able to cast their ballots on Monday even if their voter cards are lost, according to the Ghana Electoral Commission (GEC).

According to a BBC report, the Electoral Commission says a person will only go to his polling booth to say his registered name, which will be checked by election officials.

On the other hand, the GEC said it would use a voter identification device called Biometric Verification Devices (BVD) on election day.
