Fresh Details Emerge of How Nasarawa APC Chairman Was Abducted, Killed

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has disclosed that the killer of Philip Shekwo, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, has been arrested.

Naija News reports that Governor Sule stated this at a programme in Lafia on Tuesday.

The Nasarawa governor named one Muhammadu Usman, a notorious kidnapper, as the killer who also confessed to carrying out the dastardly act.

“I was informed that Muhammad Usman also known as Baffa Nura, a notorious kidnapper in Nasarawa state, has been arrested and he has confessed that he is the killer,” he said.

Speaking further, he said Usman was arrested at Assakio village in Lafia east council development area of the state.

“He was arrested in Assakio, exactly where we thought we were going to get him and we were able to get him. Mister Commissioner Sir, our security personnel, I want to thank you for the good work you have continued to do,” Sule said.

Naija News recalls that the late Nasarawa APC chairman was on Saturday night, November 21, 2020, kidnapped from his residence in Lafia.

Shekwo’s bullet-riddled body was later found on Sunday, November 22, 2020 a few kilometers from his residence.
