The governors of the country’s 36 states under the Nigeria Governors’ Forum will meet tomorrow, December 2, 2020, due to security concerns.

The main objective of the meeting is for the governors to come up with a new security plan. Bandit attacks, Boko Haram terrorism and kidnappings are rampant in several states in Nigeria.

The insecurity is affecting most states of the country. Wednesday’s meeting is the 22nd time the governors’ group will sit.

Among the issues to be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting is the water bill, which has sparked controversy. The Minister of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Hussein Adamu will be at the meeting to shed more light on the bill.

After a speech by Adamu, his counterpart in the Ministry of Justice, Abubakar Malami will give an update on stamp duty.

CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele and Governor Nasir El-Rufai will also discuss how to access Pension Funds for Infrastructure Development in the country.
