Crisis erupted in the House of Representatives over a motion calling for President Muhammadu Buhari to be invited to answer questions on rising insecurity in the country.
Naija News had earlier reported that during the congressional hearing on Tuesday, December 1, one of the lawmakers submitted a motion to invite the president to the National Assembly.
But the incident provoked some of Buhari’s supporters, causing a rift between the lawmakers.
However, the demand for the president to declare a state of emergency in the north-east and north-west has been welcomed by lawmakers.
House of Representatives members then proceeded to meet to resolve the differences that had risen over the motion.
