World champion, Lewis Hamilton, has tested positive for coronavirus.

The development was confirmed by F1 on their official Twitter account on Monday night.

F1 tweeted, “Lewis Hamilton will miss this weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix in Bahrain after a positive test for Covid-19.”

The seven-time Formula One (F1) champion will miss this weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix in Bahrain.

His replacement driver is yet to be announced.
