BREAKING: Ekanola Elected New UI Acting Vice-Chancellor

Prof. Adebola Babatunde Ekanola was on Monday elected the new Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI).

Naija News reports that Prof Idowu Olayinka, the former VC of the institution, tenure expired today, November 30, 2020.

Ekanola, who is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics polled 275 votes to beat four other opponents who are professors.

The four other professors include Prof A. Oluleye who got 80 votes, Prof Adigun Agbaje15 votes, Prof Gbemisola Oke 14 votes and Prof Olanike Adeyemi 13 votes.
