#LekkiGenocide: Who Is Next?… Aisha Reacts To CNN Investigation On Lekki Shooting

CNN investigation of the Lekki shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters has raised concern in Nigeria with Aisha Yesufu, an activist, asking “Who is next” t be the victim of brutality by security operatives in the country.

Naija News had reported earlier that an independent investigation conducted by CNN on the October 20th Shooting In Lekki, exposed how soldiers of the Nigerian Army massacred unarmed peaceful protesters.

However, days after the officials of the Nigerian Army opened fire on protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, the Nigerian army denied the killings, saying its officials only shot into the air.

Albeit, footage by CNN has revealed what really happened. The footage shared by CNN on Wednesday showed what appears to be soldiers shooting at the #EndSARS protesters who had gathered at the tollgate to press home their demands to end SARS as well as ending police brutality in Nigeria.

CNN in its investigation spoke with a man, Elisha Sunday, whose brother, Victor, was killed during the October 20th shooting incident. The Cable News also interviewed some of the protesters who were at the scene when the shooting occurred, who affirmed that they were indeed shot by the soldiers.

Reacting to the investigation in a tweet on Wednesday, Aisha wondered who will be next since members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria better known as Shi’ites and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had been attacked in the past by Nigeria’s security agents.

Aisha tweeted: “Until we ensure the lives of those we do not like matter, our own lives will not matter. First it was shiites then IPOB now #EndSars. WHO IS NEXT?”
