The Lagos State government has warned that the ban on commercial motorcycles and tricycles (Keke Napep) in certain areas of the state remains in force.

This position was reiterated by the state commissioner for transportation, Frederic Oladeinde in the wake of renewed clashes between the commercial bike operators and operatives of the Lagos Taskforce.

The Commissioner noted that anyone who violates the ban restricting them from plying major highways and some other areas in the state will face the full wrath of the law as outlined under the transport sector reform law of Lagos, 2018.

He also added that any motorist caught driving against traffic will face the maximum penalty and equally charged to the court of law.

Below is a reminder on the areas where the activities of commercial Okada and tricycles are restricted in Lagos State.
